The gatekeepers are real. But your story still deserves to be told.
I've been busting my butt in this business for 30 years, and I know the gatekeepers are real.
After making Summer of Violence, my feature film debut, I knew I wanted to help more artists tell their stories and get them out into the world. I wanted to help artists move closer to the thing they can see in their heads: a movie on the big screen, a television show reaching an audience on a streamer, and a story that does not stay stuck in a notebook or on a hard drive.
Everyone should have a shot at telling their story. Not just the people who started at age 5, or already know the right people.
Maybe you started in another career. Maybe you've spent years in front of the camera and are ready to move behind it. Maybe you have been carrying a story for years and are still trying to figure out how to make people take it seriously.
I created Get Greenlit to help you build the brand, sharpen the pitch, and make a clearer case for the story you want to bring into the world.
Bring the project. Build the pitch.
Get Greenlit is for you if:
You have a story, concept, script, deck, or early-stage idea and need help turning it into a clearer pitch.
You are new to raising money and want practical language for talking to investors without sounding unsure or unprepared.
You feel outside the industry pipeline, but you are ready to get in rooms, make connections, and learn how the process works.
Here’s what happens in the room
Bring the pitch you want to get funded, sold, or made. Leave with a sharper version and a real shot to be seen by the right people.
You bring your pitch
Come in with the project you want to move forward, whether it’s a film, series, documentary, or creator-led concept.
You sharpen the story and the ask
You’ll refine the core idea, audience, positioning, and why-now so your pitch is easier to understand, easier to believe in, and harder to ignore.
Selected pitches present at the end of the day
Winners will be chosen to present their pitch to buyers and investors in the final session.

What You Walk Away With
A path for the story in your head to move into the world.
You will leave with a brand and pitch that better match your story, practice saying it out loud, and a clearer way to pitch yourself, not just the project.
The goal is not to spend another day talking about the movie or show you want to make. It is to leave better prepared to explain it, stand behind it, and take the next step toward getting it in front of the people who can help move it forward.
Listen To Our Students
Every finished project starts with someone deciding to move it forward.
"I came wanting to understand the business side of the industry. I've won awards for my shorts, launched my own YouTube channel, and I'm building my audience by facing my greatest fears head on."
— Portia, Film Student and Director
"I came to class having never written a single script. I wanted to tell my story. I wrote the pilot, built the pitch deck, and I'm now partnering with a Netflix showrunner."
— Chantel, Attorney and Writer
"I came to class with an idea for my documentary and now I've got a licenscing deal! It never would've happened without Nicki."
— Jack, Corporate Exec with a passion to tell stories
