The entertainment industry is full of scammers, gatekeepers, and folks who ghost you for no apparent reason but will smile at you like an old friend at a frigging party. 

I'm Nicki Micheaux.

I've been in this business for close to 30 years. I'm an actress, a writer, a director and a producer. I've literally had all of this stuff happen to me and not only am I still standing - I have built a successful career. I've starred on the series Lincoln Heights and built up a resume of over 150 episodes of television. I've worked with some of the biggest names in the business on shows like, The Shield, SWAT, ER, The West Wing, In The Dark, Six Feet Under, Good Trouble just to name a few.

I moved to LA because I had stories to tell.

Movies & TV shows that I dreamed of bringing to the world. I made a pivot from acting 15 years ago to expand into writing and directing. That wasn't easy, there were many ups and downs.

But I finally broke through

• I created a TV show idea, attached a powerful showrunner and sold it to a major studio.
• I raised over two million dollars for my production company.
• I wrote and directed my feature debut, Summer of Violence which released in theaters and is now available on streaming everywhere.

We won tons of awards on the festival circuit. All that attention brought more acting work my way, I was offered (no audition required!) two feature films and just booked a new tv pilot.

And I've helped others breakthrough too. 

DONNA is an actress/writer, but hadn't had any success getting her scripts read. After my class she pitched and attached a celebrity to her project and is heading towards meetings with studios.

PAJ, an actor and novelist turned his novel into a pilot and shot it independently after he learned the tools from my masterclass on how to do it.

ONAJI, a comic book creator, started with a huge idea of how to bring his comic books to life in a pitch deck. After working with me his story is strong, clear and he now has not only a pitch deck that can open doors, he's mastered the verbal pitch as well.

I'm not telling you this to brag -
